About Karnataka State Police Department:

The administration of the district police is directed by a Superintendent of Police. A group of districts comprises a rank, headed by a General Inspector of the Police. The police administration in Bangalore is run by a police commissioner with the rank of Additional DGP. Mysore, Mangalore, and the city of Hubli-Dharwad are headed by a Police Inspector General (IGP), while Belgaum is headed by a Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG).

The Director-General and the Inspector General of the Police (DG and IGP) is the head of the state police department, and under him is the Additional Directors General of the Police. Each additional general director of the police is in charge of a particular function: law and order, crimes and technical services, administration, intelligence, the police of the Karnataka state reserve, recruitment, and training.

There are five commissioners. The Commissioner of Bangalore has the rank of Additional Director General of Police, and the commissioners in Hubli-Dharwad, Mysuru, and Mangaluru have the rank of Inspector General of the Police, while the commissioner Belagavi has the rank of Deputy Inspector General of the Police. Six inspectors general of the police is in charge of the ranks, with several inspectors general of the police in charge of specific functions. Each Rank comprises three to six districts, and each district is headed by a Superintendent of Police.

Interestingly, DRDO has launched the "DRDO Scholarship Scheme for Girls" through Aeronautics Research and Development Board. Applicants must have a valid GATE score to apply for the present DRDO Scholarship Scheme for Girls 2020. Eligibility Criteria for DRDO Notification 2020

Candidate must be an Indian National to apply for the DRDO Scholarship Scheme for Girls.

Qualification required for the 1st year UG (B.E./B.Tech./BSc. Engg.) scholarship

  • Candidate should have got admission in the 1st year of the current academic year (2020-21) to the relevant B.E./ B. Tech./B.Sc Engg. course and Candidate should have cleared with valid JEE (Main) score.

DRDO Scientist B – Selection Process

  • First-year UG (B.E./B.Tech./BSc. Engg.) scholarship (for 4-yr full-time course) will be based on the merit of JEE (Main). Candidates without valid JEE (Main) score will not be considered.
  • First-year PG (M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc. Engg.) scholarship (for 2 yr full-time course) will be based on the valid GATE score on merit basis. The candidates without a valid GATE score will not be considered.

DRDO Amount of Scholarship

  • First-year UG (B.E./B.Tech./BSc. Engg.) scholarship – Rs.120000 / year or annual fees whichever is less for a maximum period of four years.
  • First-year PG (M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc. Engg.) scholarship – Rs.15500/- per month subject to Rs.186000/- per year for a maximum period of two years

About Intelligence Bureau

The Intelligence Bureau (IB) is the internal intelligence agency of India. It was rearranged as a central intelligence office in 1947 under the Ministry of the Interior. The reason for the perception may be that Major General Charles MacGregor was appointed in 1885 as Quartermaster General and Head of Intelligence for the British Indian Army in Simla. The aim was then to monitor the deployment of Russian troops in Afghanistan, fearing a Russian invasion of the British Indies via the northwest by the end of the 19th century. In 1909, the Indian Political Intelligence Office was established in England in response to the development of Indian revolutionary activities, which was called Indian Political Intelligence (IPI) since 1921. This was a state-run supervisory and control bureau.

The IPI is jointly managed by the India Office and the Government of India and reported jointly to the secretary of the Public Prosecutor and the Ministry of the Indian Office, and the Director of Intelligence Bureau (DIB) in India, and maintains close contact with Scotland Yard and MI5. Rajiv Jain is the current director of the IB, who held the post since January 1, 2017, Rajiv Jain is a 1980 batch officer of the Jharkhand police cadre who took over from Dineshwar Sharma on January 1.
