Whats in it for you?
Manage end to end RDC (Regional Distribution Centre) operations including and not limited to internal and external audit, vendor negotiation, daily inbound and outbound operations, fixed and variable cost management, responsible for service levels. The person will also manage Primary Freight movements between various nodes of supply chain and will be responsible for resolving operational issues, ensuring stocks are moving across the network in timely and cost optimal manner.
Role
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Warehousing Management
- Ensuring timely Order Fulfillment through Collaboration driven Pull Based Replenishment
- Manage and Modernize (incl of cold rooms) 1.5 lac sqft RDC warehousing space spread in two locations.
- Strengthen 3PL Contracts and Warehousing SOPs against potential gaps,
- Ensuring Adherence to EHS, Quality and Regulatory SOPs. Ensure no L1 observations in Process/Commercial Audits.
- Lead Space Planning and Relocation projects as identified.
Customer Service
- Ensuring no Loss in Customer Service / OTIF due to Warehousing or Transportation related issues.
- Identifying Trends and anticipating business risks and recommending mitigation plans.
- Engaging with Production, RDC & CSL Teams to streamline operational issues.
Spend Management
- Deliver responsive and reliable W&D network, while keeping the costs optimal.
- Presenting monthly cost reviews to management and developing plans for areas which are exceeding allocated budget.
- Lead Annual W&D Budgeting exercise by analyzing spends in various heads, cost drivers.
- Engaging with cross functional stakeholders, identifying and driving savings opportunities.
- Partner procurement for effective RFQ process, and active participation in decision-making process during vendor finalization.
Team Management
Sustaining a dynamic environment that foster development opportunities and motivates high performance
- Rollout continuous improvement process initiatives in a planned manner
- Adopt and Support best practices from other GSK global markets
- Coaching team on ways of anticipating exigencies and avoiding OOS
- Engage with Internal teams to streamline operations, increase productivity
- Doing root cause analysis for repeated issues
KPIs and MIS
Ensuring SKU level norms at RDCs is maintained as per agreement with Supply Planning. Continuously track and maintain W&D cost within Budgetary allocations Ensuring critical operations Reports are getting published to stakeholders in timely manner
Requirements:
Minimum 4-6 years in planning or warehousing role Previous experience of managing stakeholders across vendors, Sales and supply chain
